Hello-how do you add to the application once it is sent?what are some examples that you would send?

You would email your Regional Admissions Counselor.

I would add significant leadership roles, e.g. President of Student Council/NHS, Team Captain, or significant awards, e.g. All-District Football (though that will likely not be until December), finished Eagle Scout. Stuff like that. I don't know if it would benefit you to bother them with the fact that you joined the Physics Club.
 
You can send updated ACT/SAT scores -- those would be sent directly from the test organization.

You can send via snail mail additional accomplishments, such as being elected team captain, being elected to NHS, achieving a sports distinction (e.g., "All-District"), completing Eagle Scout, etc. The accomplishment should be somewhat significant -- not merely that you joined a club.

If it is a school-related activity, it must be certified by a school administrator. If it is a non-school activity, provide objective evidence to support it.

Seems my email and the above crossed. Good that we are (somewhat scarily, I must confess) on the EXACT same page. :)
 
You can email the admissions counselor that you've been assigned. Some examples would be reference letters that cover additional aspects of your character (outside leadership roles, etc.) that would not be well covered in your application or the 2 teacher recommendations; additional noteworthy accomplishments/awards that weren't in your initial application, etc. Probably the best thing to do would be to contact your BGO and/or admissions counselor with new information.

The admissions counselors are truly helpful.

We did learn that the USNA is not interested in hearing that DS was awarded NROTC Scholarship.

We were told it is like telling one college you were accepted to another college.

Emphasis added. I can't think of a reason why someone (school official, coach, religious leader, etc.) could not endorse a letter for an activity or accomplishment that a candidate has achieved/earned. If the accomplishment comes in the form of a certificate, newspaper clipping, etc...then that should be sufficient proof. However, I would not just send your RD/AC an email saying that you are the team captain or you did "this, that, and the other" without proof to back it.
