Will over-maxing the CFA scores help in ANY way?

Hello, I have my cfa pretty soon and I was just wondering if I should go above the max if I can. I know my scores will be given an overall composite score, but will it help me in any way to go above the max? Because I was thinking if the admission board sees my scores (and the admission board review is about 25%) wouldn't it look better to have over-maxed the scores? My projected cfa is:
Basketball throw: 70
Pull ups: 18 (I can get to 30)
Shuttle run: 8.1, maybe 7.9
Sit ups: 95 ( I can get to 110)
Push ups: 75 (I can get to 100)
Mile: 5:10 ish

Thanks!

In short... NOPE. You get no more points for doing 19 Pull ups than you get for doing 18 or in your case 30...:confused:. Same with doing 95 sit ups instead of 110. Max is max.

FWIW make sure those "test" scores are following the CFA. IOTW, if it says a 2 minute break, it means 2 minutes. If it says a certain position for sit ups it means a certain position.

No offense, but I find it hard that anyone can do the proper form with the limited rest time and score what you are scoring. 100 push ups and 110 sit ups, plus 30 Pull ups, with running a mile under the 5:30 MAX, and doing a shuttle at avg pace, to me equals OMG WOW!

Nope, won't make a difference. Max as much as you can and focus on getting your SAT/ACT high and destroying all your senior year classes.

Then if you get in, come here and max the PFT and AFT. One step at a time.

QFT.

No real brownie points to be had here. Any extra time/effort you put here could probably be better spent on an extracurricular, a sport, or even a hobby.

That's not to say you shouldn't exercise. I know I enjoyed running XC and track, even though I probably didnt work out as much as a should have. Do as well as you can without detracting from other things. Remember, they want the all-rounder, not the jacked stud, not the super-genius, not the EC-superstar. They want someone who is good in all 3 main aspects, not just one.

I will say that having the athletic ability to ma that test will pay off during your cadet years.

I will say that at SLE they told us to just do as much as possible for every event, regardless of the maximums. Albeit they were cadre and not admissions staff, but you may as well put your all in it. Something to keep in mind, however, is that it is NOT worth it to over-max an event if that extra exertion causes you to not max another event. So basically, give it your all, but if you've reached the maximum and feel that your performance in the next events might be reduced by continuing after that max, then don't keep going. Good luck!

^bad advice. hit the maxes and not one rep more. You will gain NO additional points from exceeding the max.

Trust me, if you come here, you will have plenty of opportunities to do large sets of pushups or pullups.
