My son is preparing for his interview. Does anyone have some ideas of the type of questions he can expect to be asked to help him prepare for the interview.

Lots of good stuff on this in the past. Do an advanced search for posts with the subject 'Interview+Questions'.

My DS just had his interview on Monday for NROTC MO. We prepped for all kinds of questions that we found on here and other sites. He came home and said it went very well and that they didn't ask him any hard questions. Main questions were why do you want to be a Marine, why did you first start thinking about ROTC and why do you want an ROTC scholarship. Also asked him about his school choices. Can't say if this is similar to other experiences. Good luck to your DS!

I just had my interview today, and I would say try to prepare for the basics, like high school experiences, leadership roles, and motivation for becoming an officer. Reread your resume and essay because some questions will pertain to them and you don't want to give contradicting or unsimilar answers. But also, don't prepare so much that the answers sound canned. That'll come off as insincere. Don't wing it, though, have an idea of what's going to happen. Plus, by having to think on your feet for an answer a little bit, you'll be more personable, and that's really what the interview is all about. Good luck!
