Hello. It has been a dream of mine to be an officer in the armed forces for about three years. Currently I am 13. Golf is most likely my best sport and baseball my second. I am certainly very interested in having an chance to play golf at the college level. My scores aren't the best. I haven't played 18 in a few years because I normally would walk 9 for a while at my country club. When I was 12 I scored a 99 on 18 holes and now I say I average a 47 on 9. Obviously my score will get better when I get stronger and bigger and when I join my high school's team next year. (My 9th grade year). I'm wondering how competative the golf team is and possibly how to get recruited? Thanks, Trey.

Oh and ps, I know I wouldn't get into West Point just because of golf. I try to maintai the best grades and be active in my community.

Hi, Trey,

No reason not to keep trying to work on your golf, but the Army has a Division I team and they shoot in the 70s -- it is competitive. Check out the roster on the Army athletics site to read about awards, honors, junior tournaments, etc to see what you would be competing with.
