I have been a student of history and tried to "map out" the time line of events. I can speed hours mapping, until my wife shoves a plate of hot food under my nose after 10 hours of researching. But this is awesome!!

That is awesome! I love how Stalingrad and Kursk stood out. I didn't think they would. I also like the sound track which seems to match up with the dates. And finally, I think someone needs to get a life!

Kinnem, got a, "Enemy at the Gates". Semi-nonfictional story of German and Russian snipers during the battle of Stalingrad. Touches on Soviet propaganda during the war and its attempts to cover up disastrous Soviet military strategy and medieval military tactics. Without the lame love story I would call it a great movie.

Another interesting spot to look at on the map is Leningrad. It was surrounded on three sides and under siege for 1000 days. Putin is from Leningrad. Probably why he thinks he's such a bada$$.

I recall watching that flick. Great movie with a great cast! I'll have to look at the video again. Just curious if it shows the ice road to Leningrad during the winters.
