So I received a nomination from one of my senators a little over a month ago now, and I received an LOA shortly thereafter. I talked to my RD, and he said the two should add up to an appointment. The strange thing is, I haven't gotten any confirmation (and it isn't shown on my candidate page) that USNA knows I have a nomination. I actually completed the LOA-nom combo on the same day for both USNA and USAFA (just backwards order), and I received my official offer of appointment from USAFA the day after Christmas. I'll be waiting over the next week for the offer from USNA because they should know that I have the nom, but they never told me that they did.

Is anybody else in a similar situation? or does anyone know if this is even something to worry about?

Thanks,
Geoff

We had a similar situation and finally called the USNA Nominations office and spoke with a gal in there. She said they received the Nom and had a huge back up with the online posting. It appeared the next day.

This is a very busy time for the admissions offices because all of the noms are coming in and it's holiday time for them too. So, patience is the word of the day.

Alright. I'll try not to worry about it. If I don't hear anything over the next week or so, I'll make a call just to make sure.

Thanks,
Geoff

I should have mentioned that I called three or four weeks ago and yes, it's real busy now and I'd wait before calling this week. Also, I left a voice mail and she called me back a day later.

Puzzling how it all works. Son received his nomination from Congressman when he stopped by the office Dec 22. The staffer handed him his letter, dated December 18. It showed up on his Candidate Info Page December 25, no kidding.

DS's West Point portal updated a day after the MOC called. The USNA Nom took a few weeks.

Yeah, the West Point portal tends to be much faster. The USNA candidate system is always a few days behind, but this one's taking a while. I won't worry about it until after break though.
