Hi everyone. Im a new member. I know that you probably get this questions a lot and it gets annoying but I really couldn't think of anywhere else to go.
Anyway I am applying for USMA and I just want to see what you guys think my chances are.

Naturalized U.S. Citizen (Born in South Korea)
SAT Score: 2080
ACT Score: 30
Class Rank: 22/331
Weighted GPA: 3.97
Unweighted GPA: 3.61

Leadership Positions/Membership in Clubs
President of National Honor Society (NHS)
Vice President of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
Secretary of Junior Classical League (JCL)
Recording Secretary of Senior Class Council
2nd year Executive Board Member for Interact (Largest Club in my highschool, deals with everything and anything community service)
Student Government Association
Junior Class Council
Chess Club

Sports (In school and out of school)
Varsity Tennis Team (School)
Lettered 2 times
Muay Thai (Sport/Combat/Martial Art)
Judo (Sport/Martial Art)
Indoor Soccer
Travel Soccer

CFA: Have not taken it yet, but I have been training

Community Service: I am extremely involved in Interact, my school club with 116 members that deal with community service events from a small community event to large 5k walk for Breast Cancer in the city etc.

Criminal Record: None... Nor have i ever gotten in trouble at school
Drug/Alcohol Abuse: None. Ever ever ever. don't intend to either.

I passed my DODMerb exam with flying colors

Highschool Classes: I have never taken an Academic Class. All honors and All AP. I do well in all classes with most A's and few B's.
Senior Class':
Honors Entrepreneurship
Honors Physics
AP Psychology
AP Latin 5
AP Calculus
Honors Physics
Honors English 12
AP Statistics

I have already taken Honors Chem and AP Chem.
AP Chem was my lowest final grade which was depressing.. I finished with a 78%. I know that will be a big blow.. I hope that doesnt completely destroy my chances.

I want to major in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering and am considering a career in the Military.
Regardless of whether i get accepted or not, my desire to serve as an officer will not subside so I will be taking ROTC in a civilian college

Other stuff that probably wont matter
I am fluent in Korean
I have been playing Piano for 11 years
I have been playing Classical Guitar for 2 years

For those of you who managed to read this whole thing, thank you for being so patient. I appreciate everyone's response. Please be honest. Everyone i go to that is not online has always been like ooo you'll do great/you'll be fine!/you can do it/ etc. all positive stuff. I figured the internet would be the place to go for truth and honesty from different perspectives. Especially people who have already gone through what i am right now. Thank you so much again.

Wow

hey! I am applying to USMA as well. It's good to see a fellow Korean like me! We always need more Koreans in service academies. :) and don't worry, looks like you are in the similar shoes as I am. I am going to be a naturalized citizen too. Getting a few C's wont hurt too much as long as your class rank is still high... getting a C in AP class is better than getting a C in regular class, but obviously A's and B's should be the target goal. No one can know for sure who can get in, but there is a general trend you can follow to predict whether you could make it into the academy or not. Here is a link that might help you decide for yourself if you are a good fit.

http://www.usma.edu/admissions/shared documents/profile2016.pdf

remember, they evaluate on academics (30% GPA/class rank, and 30% test scores), leadership potential (30%, leadership positions and extracurricular), and physical test (CFA pass/fail, 10%).

Your competition with your peers might depend on what state you are currently in. What state are you from?

and don't forget to apply to other service academies as well! I am applying USNA as well as West Point.

Appears that you meet the minimum qualification, so it comes down to how competitive your Congressional district is. I have seen kids with better credentials than you not getting in or kids with worse credential than you getting in.

Recommend taking SAT/ACT again as that's about only thing you can improve now.

Also consider applying to West Point again if you don't get in this year. Don't be in hurry to grow up.

Retake ACT/SAT. That's pretty much what every potential applicant on here will get as the biggest feedback.

I'm from PA. there is actually another kid in my district who is applying to West Point and he is korean but I have no idea who hahah

lol, then how did you even know who's applying in your congressional district? I think PA might be competitive... but probably not as much as California or southern states. Huge chunk of the accepted applicants come from those areas. (Obviously related to population ratio vs other states).
