Does date of interview matter?

One thing this process has done for me is to make me second guess and over analyze everything!

One on our senator's committee members called and left a voicemail for DS to call them back and give them a few availability dates for any time Nov 1-Dec 15th.

So, my question is, is there a "better" date to be interviewed...early so that all the spots aren't filled or later so you are fresh in their minds when they are discussing candidates?

I don't believe that the date matters. Our daughter was at Northwestern Preparatory School last year and I think her interview date was pretty late and the interviews were conducted over the phone because it was impractical for her to travel home.

Perhaps there is someone on this forum that serves on the nominations committee for a member of Congress that will have more insight. However, my understanding is that they look at all of the candidates before making a decision.

I feel your pain of over analyzing everything but there really is nothing you can do except go through the steps and wait. The waiting is the hardest part.

Good luck to your son:smile:

Typically, all MOC interviews are conducted and then the decision is made as to which candidates get the available NOM's. Some may do these in one day or if there is a very large pool of applicants for a particular MOC, they might do them over a few days. Choosing an earlier/later date make no difference with regard to one's 'chances'.
