When do individuals normally find out if their Post ADSO has been approved? If it's declined, when do you find out your duty assignment?

From what I understand approved post ADSOs come with the RFO. Anything else comes later.

The thing you're waiting for in your AKO with your BOLC date.

My PMS told me my post ADSO was approved when he briefed me my results.

Roger...my branch adso has been approved but my post adso is still pending...

Was it Overseas, Germany or Italy? A cadet in my BN ADSO'ed for Germany and his is pending as well. I ADSO'ed for HI and got it but 25 ID is there so I assume that's why since I detailed IN

So I just asked my roommate who is currently in ABOLC and ADSO for a post and this is what he said, you should be finding out if the ADSO was approved around when your orders for BOLC are cut which will be like April for spring grads if its anything like last year. However since IBOLC and ABOLC are PCS insteady of a TDY, they will not have your final duty station on them. Those orders are cut about halfway though BOLC and untill those orders have been written your ADSO has not offically gone though and is still subject to change. Those who did not ADSO did not find out their duty location till about halfway though BOLC (however they went though during the government shutdown and that might have dealyed the results). If you are not armor or infantry your BOLC orders will have your duty location on them.

If in ABOLC you are referring to Aviation BOLC and Flight school, they will not find out their Duty Station until they have selected their Airframe. Once they select their Airframe they submit their wish list based on the Aircraft they will be flying. ABOLC is the first thing that is completed at Flight School, duty station selection comes much later.

ABOLC and Flight School is a PCS, I don't believe Infantry BOLC is a PCS.

I think he's talking about Armor and Infantry is a PCS move as well as Armor. If you go to Bennings website for IBOLC and ARBOLC it tells you, not trying to be a smartass just putting the Info out there.

Thanks for the clarification on ABOLC.

Some may PCS if they have added training or are going to be there for a while, but I don't think they PCS for just IBOLC, that would be a pretty short PCS, of course I could be completely wrong as well.

Mine were actually Ft Gordon and Ft Benning...long story as to why but no they weren't overseas...

A lot of IBOC grads go to ranger school afterwards or other schools so they seem to be in benning for a good 6-9 months. There's also a lot of injuries/recycles currently so its not unusually for them to be here longer. Also I'm a female, I'm not either branch but I've been hanging out with my bf who is currently in abolc while I wait for my bolc to start ans we have a roommate in IBOLC so all this info is second hand of what they've said.
