NAPSters

1980 total and 1380 without reading. But then again.. I'm going to NAPS because my citizenship isn't going to work out.

I'm at NAPS right now (USNA c/o 2013) and I got:

ACT:
21

SAT:
520-M
530-CR

And that my friends, in addition to getting Bs and Cs in math in highschool is why I am at NAPS. If you guys have questions, let me know.

I am in a similar position but with higher psat scores. Was it your GPA and SAT scores making it the only reason why you were not admitted?

Pretty much. For a female, I beasted the CFA with:

1 mile: 7:38
7 pull ups (max)
50 push ups (max)
100 situps (max)
uhh I don't remember the shuttle run and the bball throw wasn't great, probably because I'm 5'.

Varsity athlete, NJROTC XO, blah blah blah. NAPS is really focussed on academics, but some are here because they didn't get a nom, can barely do a push up, and whatnot. I completely finished the USNA app in late OCT07, got selected for NAPS 7DEC07. Let me know if you guys have any questions!
:)

wow, that is good for a female. :thumb:

I go back to school tomorrow after having a looong winter break, and the 1st semester ends in 3-4 weeks for us (im a jr by the way) so I still have time to beast it out this semester and second semester, and of course my senior year.

Also, if and when i do have questions, I will not hesitate to ask.

thanks!

yeah good. So you are a junior? Alright good, you got time. Hopefully, you do sports. Don't forget, NASS application comes online legit 12a.m. 1FEB09. Yes, I stayed up to do it right then and there.

How does NASS work? Do they just accept the first 500 or so applications provided you have decent grades in hard classes and test scores? Or do they evaluate and critique one on a rather harsh scale?

You can private message me about further questions. We might want to keep this thread limited to kids goin to NAPS.

True, sounds good, no need to hi-jack this thread.

1150 combined.

Of course, this was back in 1986.
