Question, how can one tell who ordered the DoDMERB ? USNA ? NROTC ?
West Point ? We have to schedule the appointments but I was curious how to tell who ordered ?

My son applied early to NROTC then a B&G officer called so we sent in everything for Annapolis, then at the last minute my son decided why not apply to West Point. I'd like to know if any are more interested then others.

It's not NROTC -- they will only request it after a scholarship has been awarded.

If the agency isn't showing up now, it will show up when Qualified as below:

Agency: US Military Academy
Cycle Year:2013
Current Medical Status: Qualified

It doesn't really matter because once submitted every commissioning source will accept that exam. If there is a DQ issue each source will go through their own remedial/waiver process.

It does not mean that an appointment will be any sooner because they are now Q'd. There are many candidates that have had their exams completed back in Aug., and still are waiting to hear from their sources.

DoDMERB is just a medical clearing house, appointment occur when the commissioning source requests it. For an SA it does not equate to an appointment is imminent...sorry.

Since NROTC released their last board a few weeks ago, I doubt it was them that requested it since your DS did not get awarded a scholarship yet.

I am guessing an SA has deemed him competitive enough to be boarded by them. Maybe the nom triggered it, maybe it didn't, trying to figure out who ordered really matters little to nothing.

Every source is going to use the same exam results to qualify him. Once qual'd it will show on his page which source the results were sent.
I.E.
It could say something like this on the bottom
USNA candidate
USMA candidate
NROTC scholarship

How will the two different SA's and NROTC all know of the physical which was completed Friday ? Do I notify them when they ask or will it show when they request ?

I must admit that I'd love to know who requested DoDMERB too. My son applied in early Sept. for NROTC and had done the preliminary work on his SA apps but they are still not complete (CFA). He qualified early too which was great.

I was grateful for the early process as I was worried his hernia surgery would cause an issue (it did not) and he cleared very quickly but having the extra time was great.
