I would say: "Are you kidding me?!" but nothing surprises me these days. Give me a break- this clown ought to be hung out to dry. A PFC who has too much to drink and gets his butt handed to him in a bar fight gets NJP , restricted and loss of pay and rank. The MG in charge of thousands of megatons worth of ICBM's goes on a public bender, cavorts with Russian hookers (remember the Secret Service guys in Columbia?) and gets.. "reassigned"??

Back in the day, they were referred to as "honeypots".

If this is true, it's beyond words. Putin and Co. must be having a great chuckle over this.

By the way, I don't think anything ever happened to the secret service agents for their Colombian adventure.

Evidently, the Air Force has failed to provide senior officers with proper training for overseas assignments. There should be a sort of advanced S.E.R.E. They could call it S.T.U.P.E.FoR. (Seduction Techniques Used by Prostitutes for Espionage in Foreign Realms)

That trip to Russia sounds like a kick-a$$ party. :shake:

I was a missileer and never got to go on a bender with the 20th AF CC.

He certainly should have been more cautious given his rank and position. He could have been vunerable to espionage attempts in his impaired state. Even if he didn't let anything loose (I don't think he did), he certainly didn't act with a whole lot of discretion.

I recall the posts here some time back wondering what this guy did to get in trouble. Well, now we know.
But, I am thinking the likelihood of this being the General's first bender, his first time committing personal indiscretions, and the first time he was acting on his base instincts is about zero. Just how did he manage to get to be a General? I suspect a whole bunch of people just 'kicked the can down he road.'
That, it seems to me, is the systemic problem.

What a great way to start the morning- with a chuckle.
Little rocks....

Yeah, I'm not sure about that. It wasn't that long ago what it was NJP and maybe some restriction or work hours. I've only seen one reduction in rank associated with it, and there was MUCH more going on (I won't get into details because I was the PIO for the incident). Maybe it's unique to the Army, but in the Coast Guard, from what I saw, when an officer got into an altercation in a bar, it was generally worse for him immediately and CERTAINLY worse for him long-term.

Interesting stuff!

Also, side note: it's Colombia, not Columbia.

No they "covered each other's a$$e$." Another systemic problem.
