Lets say I want to get an Army ROTC 4 or 3 year scholarship. I want to go to UC Santa Cruz, where I would train and attend MS classes at Santa Clara University. Is it possible to win that scholarship to Santa Cruz, because I am still at Santa CLara ROTC?

In easier terms: Can I win a scholarship to a partner school?

My first question is: Are you using hypotheticals?

If not, my second question is: Is SCU the cross-town partner for UC-SC AROTC? Out of coincidence, I know that San Jose State is the cross-town AFROTC partner for UC-SC. I believe several years ago they didn't have the option for AROTC.

So, you need to verify which school has the cross-town partnership for UC-SC AROTC (or if there even is one ). I would call your universities in question and ask.

If you find out that SCU is the cross-town partner for UC-SC, then yes, you can potentially be awarded the scholarship to UC-SC as your home school (and do your cross-town with SCU AROTC).

No I am not using hypotheticals. SCU is the location for Army ROTC, SJSU students go there as well as UCSC students.

In that case, how do I put that down in my school of intent section on the scholarship app

If you're intended school isn't in the drop down selection list, then select the school that is the main school on the battalion. You can switch it after you get e scholarship by contacting the PMS.

briandelfs019, unless you are absolutely 100% certain that an answer supplied on this forum is correct I would not take advice without triple confirming (not trying to be crabcakes here but...)

If you have a question, fine to post it here-but if you really want an answer to this question with accuracy that you can be comfortable with simply call cadet command and ask 502-624-7371.
