I recently got my BFE to WP, and was wondering for local scholarships what to put down to show financial need? What do cadets need to pay for out of pocket? Thank you for any help!

Here's a projected 4-year expense summary for the class of 2016. I have wondered too how DS should indicate that on non-tuition/room & board scholarships.

Do you have to pay for this out of your parents pocket? Or will west point pay for it? I'm strictly asking this from a financial standpoint.

I know I read it somewhere but I can't find it so hopefully someone with first-hand experience will chime in, but I seem to recall that ~$2,000 is required up-front. From what I remember reading, if you can't pay the entire amount before/by R-Day (?), you can make payments. I don't remember the details, but remember thinking we would have to go this route.
