NROTC boards?

If you are boarded is there any indication on the portal or does it still say "no decision..."? I applied for the NROTC nursing scholarship so it might be a bit different and I honestly don't know if a board has even happened yet. No one on the forums has said anything about it happening or anyone receiving a scholarship yet.

You are not alone. DD has had her NROTC Nurse app done since August. We have no idea if a board has even convened yet. About a month ago the scholarship coordinator for our region told us that no Nurse scholarships had been awarded yet from his candidates. Be patient and have a Plan B. Good luck.

I had my packet in late August with an interview first week in September. Trying to be patient but it's been a lot of nothing as of yet.

DD also applied for NROTC Nurse Corps Scholarship. I never participate in the conversations here, but have been lurking for a very long time. I know insight about nrotc nursing boards is difficult to come by, so I am happy to share what we've been told within the last week (please take that for exactly what it's worth). It is our understanding that a nursing board did meet the week of Jan 13th. If results typically begin to appear 2-3 weeks after a board, it would stand to reason that nobody has heard anything. Historically, the nrotc portal does not change from "no decision" as a matter of course when a candidate's package has been reviewed by a board.

It's hard to wait...on everything - college admission, scholarship status, etc. Not having any information or inkling as to when any might be forthcoming makes it harder. Nothing to be done but continue to wait and, as I've seen encouraged so many times by those much more experienced and wiser than I, keep working plans B, C, D, and E. :thumb:

Good luck to you!

Hold tight...

My DS was told by the recruiter that the release has been slow this year and is not sure why. For the nurse option he said it was even slower. Respectfully, I know it does not help much but it is something.

All the best...
