Has anyone who received their WINNER notifications received their packets in the mail yet?
~Checking the mail excitedly every day!

So glad you posted this! Son has still not received his. We live in Alabama; mail from Ft. Knox should only take two days max.

I'm bummed that he has to decide by the 23rd and has yet to hear anything "officially."

My kid continues to wait. He did receive the "medical" instructions envelope last week.

Nope. Uploaded letter on Portal is dated Friday, 01/24/2014 and says must be accepted by Sunday, 02/23/2014, but nada in the USPS yet. Letter was uploaded to the portal on Monday, 01/27/2014, so I don't know when it would have actually been mailed.

On the application it says to wait to respond to the offer until you get the letter. Can we just print the winner letter posted in the file upload to accept the scholarship?

I thought about that as well, but I don't know what else is included with the letter in the packet...probably some DoDMERB stuff, but my DS is already qualified, so don't guess there is anything to wait on there. ROO at my DS's #1 choice was going to touch base with Cadet Command this week to see what was up with the packet being mailed or not, but we haven't heard back yet.

So, we're confused. DS has heard from one of his schools, referencing the scholarship win, but not the other. When we read the letter at the scholarship site, it says that the scholarship must be accepted by 2/23. How does he go about accepting it? Is there an "accept" button on the scholarship website?

Last year with son #1, the letter had a form to return (by fax or mail). He checked the school/offer he accepted out of his four or five choices. This year has proven different in several ways, so I'm not really sure what to expect.

I haven't received my letter yet or an upload! Iv only been contacted by one of my schools congratulating me....

DS has not yet received the packet in the mail either. But I printed the letter and "Notification of Intent to Utilize ROTC Scholarship" form from his portal on the AROTC application website, had DS sign it and e-mailed it to CC this morning (since we have a snow day, trying to get some paperwork done). This is DS's Plan B. Also checked DoDMERB this morning and he is qualified for AROTC as of yesterday, so there really isn't any reason for him to wait until 2/26/14.

How do I get DoDMerb qualified for my AROTC scholarship? How do I set up an appointment?

Did you print off or look at the 2nd page of the Winner letter in the portal (on the AROTC application website)? Page 2 is the "Notification of Intent to Utilize ROTC Scholarship" form that needs to be signed, and the school needs to be checked to accept.

Mail, fax or e-mail the completed form per the instructions at the bottom of the form.

I would also mail a hard copy at some point as well as fax if you can. Make sure they receive it!

I would contact the PMS/ROO at the school that called you and let them know that you do not have a winner letter in your portal. Maybe they can find out why. Seems strange that nothing has been uploaded for you, as it has for others, if you have in fact been awarded a scholarship.

Yeah my portal says "winner" and Norwich called me to congratulate me so I'm sure iv won it....

A Big +1 to this.

Fax it, mail it, scan and email it, tie it to a carrier pigeon, just make sure CC receives it.
