I found these report dates and course end dates for Infantry BOLC for the remainder of FY 2014.

June 1 - Sept 30
June 15 - Oct 14
July 27- - Nov 26
Aug 24 - Jan 8 (2015)

There are also courses which start in March and April, which would obviously not suit Spring 2014 grads.

With about 160 students in each course, it's likely there would be some spillover to FY 2015, dates for which I have not yet found.

Cadet Delahanty is graduating in a few months. Boy, did that go fast. Seems like yesterday he was a freshman off to CULP! When he gets his dates tell him to quickly seek out and acquire some roomates with, if possible, one with a decent car. BAH rates may be reduced from when my DS was there. You can save a lot of money with roomates. There was little opportunity to live on base when DS went. There are many good places to live. Some include utilities, cable and even some with a washer dryer(important if he goes in summer). A lot of stuff is online. If he does go in the summer start hydrating now!

Best Wishes

For what it is worth, July and August classes will be heavy with West Point grads. By law they are authorized up to 60 days of free graduation leave and have to report for duty at the end of 60 days if not earlier. Bit different from ROTC.

Very helpful, thank you. That probably means the earlier courses will be packed with ROTC grads. What about the SMC's?

When my son started Aviation BOLC June 1st 2012 there were no WP grads in the class, they started showing up about 3 weeks later. There were a couple SMC grads in his class.

One more thing, later OBC is better for Ranger school. Ranger school will suck regardless, but cold weather will make it suck more. Used to, if you started Rangers school after October and before November, students got Christmas break.

This must be a bad week for Ranger School, it was very cold there.

Hopefully, the Ranger school didn't forget the lessons from the training "accident" back in Feb 1995 when 4 Ranger students got killed during the Florida phase. Lost two of my classmates. Water temp was near freezing, one platoon disembarked from their boats at the planned location, although water level was too high. Another platoon that one of my West Point roommates was a member keep on peddling since water level was too high. So after the incident, Ranger school instituted numerous safety measures.

I hope so, we have a friend there now. Really sorry about your classmates.

BOLC Dates came out! How did Cadet Delahanty? It's done by OML...The higher you are, the sooner you go to BOLC...Which is a bummer for those who wanted to go later on...

Summer vacation is one less thing he will have to worry about.

For Infantry LTs, just might finish Ranger school before it gets cold.

DS is a member of class 4-14 (still in Darby phase) and I think about the weather a lot! On Wednesday it was 35 and raining. If It had been me, I would have rather it been a little colder and had snow to battle.

Those are truly earning the badge!

At least the weather projected for this week is supposed to be good, sunny and in the 70's. Now if he just does not get sick.

Meant to mention it earlier, but DS and most of his friends live on base. They share apartments to cut down on the costs. Also, it was very convenient during IBOLC when they would get 45 minutes to change after PT or maybe an hour for lunch.

Makes me feel old 8 - 95 . . .

Old days, if you made out of Darby, the graduation rate was pretty high.
