So I'm aware that you can get a nomination from your: District Rep, Senators, and House Reps. Plus you can get one from the President if you qualify for it. I've heard that the Presidential nomination is sent to West Point to be evaluated, then sent to the Vice President for final assessment.
On my West Point Candidate Portal, there is a section at the bottom of the nominations page that states -
"The Secretary of the Army is annually allocated cadetships in the following categories: •Presidential (Sons and daughters of career military personnel)
•Enlisted members of the Regular Army
•Enlisted members of the Army Reserve/National Guard
•Sons and Daughters of Deceased or 100% disabled Veterans
•Army Junior and Senior ROTC programs and Honor ROTC units of other services"
I am eligible for this nomination, but I'm wondering if this nomination from the Secretary of the Army is the same as the Presidential nomination, or not. I've contacted my support team on my portal, but they have not responded for quite some time. Thank you for your help as always!
