I accepted my appointment to the USMA Class of 2018 early February. Now that the anxiety is gone I have minor questions such as the barrack set up. I've heard different answers and was wondering: Is it three or two cadets to a room, and do you stay with the same 2/3 cadets from your first to last year or do you change every so often. Thanks.

Since one of the barracks are being renovated, the majority of the cadets are three to a room. But they are constructing a new barrack, the S1 told me it would be finished 2016ish.

2, 3, or 4 (some big rooms in Pershing), and generally you change rooms and roommates every semester within your assigned company (which you have no control over). Plebes usually have no option of picking their roommates. Upperclasses often can keep specific roommates, though they will often still move rooms. Depending on the mood of specific commandants, you will possibly switch companies after your plebe or yuk year called scrambling. Between semester room clearing, scrambling, barracks renovation, and staff time, you can expect to have to live in 8 different rooms, with different roommates regularly, and have to haul all your stuff by hand down to the trunk room each time or worse, from like Lee barracks all the way to Mac short after scrambling companies.

...or worse, from like Lee barracks all the way to Mac short after scrambling companies.

went the opposite direction- Mac Short to the top of Lee, To add insult to injury, I was moving from 4th Reg to 1st
