USAFAPS Class of 2015 Thread

I haven't received anything from USAFA yet, but I wanted to start the thread going since the appointments should be coming soon. Anybody else dying to find out too?
 
USAFAPS appointments usually come out in late April to May. :smile:
 
:frown: Why do they have to take so long. The waiting is unbearable! Also wanted to start the thread because I haven't seen many posts about the upcoming class for USAFAPS. Guess there may not be too many people applying this year.
 
I feel you. The wait is killing me. I've been doing alot of researching and I noticed alot of airmen get their appointment(Academy or prep school) around late April.

I don't think anyone can apply to USAFAPS. If you were referring to not many people applying to USAFA.....I doubt that is the case.

What's up. I stumbled upon this thread and It's good to finally talk to people who may be going to the Prep School as well. I'm David Bartholomew, from New Orleans,LA and I got my acceptance into the Prep School. I also signed to play football there as well.
 
Hola All,

I'm actually a current preppie for USAFA right now. I couple of weeks ago I was talking to our dean of academics and she said that "our replacments" are already being notified. So its safe to say, some appointments have already gone out. If you have any questions about 'the p' (the prep school) feel free to ask them here and I'll answer them. I'd rather get asked here so others can see your question and the answers as well. Good luck to you all :)

Granted its not done most of the time, as it currently stands if you are enlisted through the LEAD program you do have the option to apply directly to the USAFA Prep school, however if you plan to apply to a diffrent service academy you do not have this ability.
 
Hmmm. Maybe she was referring to the people who are civilians. I am currently enlisted and dying to know if I got in or not.
 
Prep school slot offered!

Hey guys! I was finally offered a slot to the prep school yesterday. It came to me as a surprise because i thought the airmen pool will be reviewed around april. But regardless, I got it! Be on the look out for yours!
 
I just got my appointment today! 14 March 2014! Let me know if anyone else gets theirs. I would love to connect!
 
Hey hopefulenlisted for RE2012USAF how did you guys find out? Was it your commanders who let you know?
 
I received mine the same way. Woke up for work Friday and had an email on my phone...followed the link and it took me to the portal and told me I was granted a PS appointment.

Well congratulations to both of you. Hopefully, I'll be posting my appointment to the USAFAPS soon and will be seeing you both in July.
 
I received my appointment to USAFAPS on 13 March 2014 by phone. Then the next day, all the required paperwork and the official documentation of my appointment appeared on my portal. I honestly just made my account today in order to get acquainted with others before July.

Finally April. From what I've read in previous posts. We should be finding out in the next few weeks on appointments. Good luck everybody!
 
Enlisted orders

Did any of you enlisted folks get your orders or anything related to it yet? i am still waiting on mine and id like to get everything taken care of so i can enjoy my last couple of months here :)

I have not received anything yet. Though I also have not submitted anything to my unit such as the 1288 and 368? Whatever the second form is for enlisted. I can't remember off the top of my head. I read somewhere that you aren't officially lost from your current unit and gained into the USAFAPS until 6 weeks before BMT. Whether that is true or not, I'm not sure. We would need some official clarification. I'm just going to submit everything needed and then go from there! I'm also ANG though, not active duty so my life isn't going to change a whole lot leading up to July 9th.
