Internships available to AROTC cadets

Excuse my ignorance. I'm curious if these internships occur during the school year or during the summer? Will cadets have enough time off during the summer, especially with the new training schedule?
 
What new training schedule? There has been no change yet to the summer requirements. There is plenty of time to accomplish a 3 week EIP or ASB internship. They are comparable with the CTLT program that I don't see going away any time soon.

We have had Cadets take advantage of these opportunities in the past. Last summer I had a civil engineering major spend three weeks working in the St Louis Corps of Engineers office working on projects. These are great opportunities that many cadets and programs don't take advantage of, so don't mess up our little secret and go telling people about them.
 
I think Clarkson was pointing out that those changes don't take effect until 2017.
 
Yeah - I remember taking a look at this I think sometime in Dec/Jan. It's too bad that these are more so geared towards MSIII's.

On an unrelated note, does having an internship through Army count as a different number of points for OML compared to have an internship in the private sector?
