Does anyone know which AP tests can validate at USMA?

From old threads I have found out that the following will validate.
AP Chemistry
AP Calculus BC
AP Physics C
AP English Language

Does anyone know if AP Economics (Macro and Micro) or AP Computer Science will validate anything?

From memory, Econ is normally taken as a yearling, and the USMA link mainly spoke to plebe courses.

DS validated one of the Econs with a 5 on the AP. YMMV

or AP Computer Science will validate anything?

Have never heard of anyone validating CS coursework at USMA. (But you never know, policies change)

At least in 2011 & 2012, Computer Science courses at USMA would be "resectioned" and moved students to a section of similar capabilities. So if you are are a CS whiz you'll work on more advanced stuff with similar students.

My recommendation based on DS's experience is to send all AP's with 4's or 5's to USMA ahead of time. That way if an opportunity presents itself you have hard data. That's how it played out for DS and Econ.

So if I scored only a 3 on AP English Language, should I try and retake it to get a 4 or 5? I'm also going to be taking the AP English Literature exam too, I'm unsure if that would help with validation.

At least during my Beast, English validation was based on the exam you took during Beast (which was open to anyone- not dependent on AP scores).

For IT/CS - there is a validation exam to get out of IT 105, but I think that took place during ReOrgy week, not Beast
