A lot "Depends". I'm not saying this is your scenario or not. But when my son received his appointment in 2007, it was "Slated" against a "Presidential" nomination. That means, even though other nominations were available to him, the one the academy used to give him his appointment was the "Presidential". Therefor, the senators/representative didn't show his name on THEIR list of appointees.
Some may question that the actual slate that the academy charges to isn't finalized until after BCT. That is true. But the reason I know for a fact that my son's appointment was slated against a presidential, was because he received his presidential Nomination in July and received his appointment in November. Our senators/representative had even interviewed people yet for their nominations. And we specifically told our congresswoman and senators not to nominate my son so they'd have to keep the presidential nomination as the one charged to the appointment, and our state would get an extra appointment this way. "They took my advice and with only 2 senators and 1 representative, we had 6 kids receive an appointment that year". 1 was presidential, 3 were MOC's list, and 2 were national pool". (National pool doesn't charge the MOC for the appointment).
So, if your ONLY nominations were your MOC's, they should have notified you. However, you could have received the appointment from the national pool and being it wasn't charged to your MOC's slate/quota, s/he might not know about you. Mike....
