My DS also had a Presidential nomination but received a phone call from his admissions officer with news of his appointment. The portal was updated about a week later followed my a letter in the mail. Good luck!

DS was appointed in January and received no phone calls. He was notified by portal and received a letter in the mail from admissions dated 3 days before he was notified by the portal.
