Hello,

So I emailed my Regional Commander for a status update, and she sent this back in reply...

You are a qualified candidate. At this point, it is difficult to determine
whether you will receive an offer. We will continue to make offers as late
as the end of April.

Should I take this as good news or should I just give up all hope? I was medically qualified on March 4, 2014, and my CAR on Feb 26, 2014 so my file was complete very late. Could anyone help me out?

What this means is that you are on the NWL (national wait list) and based on your WCS (whole candidate score), you may or may not get an appointment and they will notify you one way or another by the end of April.

Make sure you have Plans B, C, D in place just in case, but until you get the TWE you still have a chance.

On the candidate portal it now says that appointments will continue to be offered right up until R-Day. Does anyone know if they send out TWE's before that? Also, has anyone ever received a TWE, and then been offered a last minute appointment?

Yes they send out TWEs before that. Only a relative handful of people remain on the NWL at that point and I'm sure they have already invested $$$$ in plan B.
