I was wondering the same thing. I doubt anyone has the answer though; it may be something new to the appointee kit. Looks like we'll just have to be patient. :thumb:

But inquiring minds want to know!! Bump.

Well, when it opens up I'll be the first to let you know. Should be in mid-late April, if the application portal is to be believed.

Maybe an appointee from last year could shed some light on the situation?

That's what i was hoping maybe theyre still drained from Recognition :thumb: Hopefully They'll chime in soon

I could be wrong, but isn't that jump vs. soaring vs. powered flight?

We did not have that form to fill out last year. The airmanship programs have undergone some restructuring this year, and as a result, freshman are allowed to take AM250, a basic soaring class during the academic year. It's a 4 flight program that was created since you no longer get a ride during BCT, and taking AM251 sophomore year is no longer an option. So, I imagine that form will be asking if you are interesting in taking the new soaring program during the academic year.

If it is an option to take AM250 during the school year, do it! I get to spend 2 hours out of my day down at the airfield, and flying in the gliders. Pulled 5Gs and did steep turns over the t-zo just the other day!
