Okay, I need some serious insight from past, present, and future cadets/midshipman. I am severely interested in pursuing a career in aviation with the Air Force. However, my vision is not 20/20, but it is correctable to 20/20.
I got accepted to NAPS and am awaiting a response from the AFA. My heart has always been with the Air Force (I'm almost infatuated with it to say the least), but I am willing to consider other options.
Two questions:
1.) what are the Navy's eye sight policies for pilots?
2.) if I do not qualify for naval aviation, should I take the ROTC route and try to fly for Air Force that way?
I really need some opinions and options. I have the option of attending Texas A&M and doing the Corps there (which is an excellent program).
Any thoughts? Aviation is where my heart is at.
-Thanks
