When will cadets take placement exams for various classroom subjects? Does this occur before or after BCT?

Just spoke with a C3C and they also said first week of BCT

Like the previous two posters have said, they will take it during BCT, usually the first week.

Any tips for Placement Test Preparation?

Any tips for placement test preparation? I saw the Math sample test on the USAFA website. Are there others available? It seems like a lot of preparation going into BCT, being able to slow down the process should help my DS.

Thanks for all the insight!

Placement tests are just that, for placement into the correct level of class according to your ability. As my son described it, you're terribly exhausted from BCT, then they put you in a room and set a math (or other) test in front of you. He spent 15 minutes on the test then took a nap. If you do well, you are placed into higher level courses, otherwise, lower level. Either is fine, just skipping some allows for additional courses later. Don't spend your time studying for these tests. Enjoy your last semester of high school and time with your friends. Soon you will be working very hard, don't make that come sooner. You probably would be better off spending your time running than studying, it will make BCT a little easier :thumb::thumb:

I would think that doing well on the placement test is VERY important considering cadets are required to take 96 core hours. To take advantage of some of the coursework in your major as well as minor doing well on the placement exams seems like a good idea.
