I see how much weight varsity letters have in helping you get the Army ROTC scholarship....

the problem is, no one on my team has gotten a varsity letter. Besides captains, no one gets handed out any "letters". However, I play first line on varsity hockey, and play a large part in my team....should I mention this in additional remarks?

Up to this point I haven't even heard of varsity letters.

Why don't you talk with your coaches- I would think that they would know what the criteria for lettering is at other schools and if you meet that I would in good conscience say that you can stick it on the form as having done so- as obviously the intent is to ascertain your athletic accomplishments not to quibble oer what your school calls something. (A rose by any other name- is still a rose) What I would caution you against would be to claim that and then have your coach disagree with your personal assessment of your athletic career.
