Considering that Beast is still two months away I know its a little early to start worrying about this stuff, but as an aspiring infantry officer I was just wondering if anyone had a recommendation for books, field manuals, etc. dealing with infantry maneuvers and tactics?

no. worry about having fun with what little freedom you have left and getting ready for Beast. You'll have plenty of opportunities to learn about Infantry tactics when you get here.

I would say less than 5% of Beast is devoted to what we might consider "Infantry tactics." You should learn some basic skills (individual movement technique, land nav, basic rifle marksmanship, and etc) that will allow you to, if you remember it, use it during the cadet field training.

^Listen to this sage advice you will be thankful later.

You're going to come here and find out that you spend almost all of your time studying, doing cadet stuff, or just having fun with your friends.

While I definitely encourage people to be educated professionals, don't fret too much now. Your goal at a service academy should be to become a capable leader and competent professional. The finer points of tactics are great, but the details can change based on the situation, and the "Army way" may change slightly between now and when you get to lead a platoon.
