So I was looking through the class profile for 2016 or 2017 (I dont remeber right now) and I was looking at the percentages for how many students were varsity athletes, top 20% of class, NHS members, etc....However I noticed a section that said something along the lines of "traumatic life experience" or "family hardship" and it gave a percentage. I will find exactly what it said once I find the form but my question is does a traumatic life experiece such as divorce, death of a family member etc... factor into your admission. If so how much do the admissions boards take this into account? Do they recognize that these events force an idividual to possibl mature at an earlier age? Thanks for any response.
