I took 2 gap years dealing with family problems and working but I'm looking to go back to school. This would probably tun into 3 as I would be applying for my undergraduate degree this year and attending college next.

In highschool I was the president of a club and had around a 3.5 GPA.
I was wondering if I am and if this would be a potential option for me.

This would not prevent you at all from enrolling in ROTC when you start college.

As far as whether you would be able to apply for the National AROTC Scholarship, that is something you would have to talk to a Recruiting Officer at a ROTC Battalion about. Do not just go to the local recruiting office to inquire about ROTC, they will not be able to help you and will most likely steer yo toward enlistment.

If you are unable to apply for the National Scholarship that High School students apply for don't get discouraged. You can still be eligible for scholarships from the battalion once you enroll in ROTC.

Yes!

I am 23, and I started ROTC when I was 22. You can do it! It's a bit weird being older than every one, but it certainly won't hold you back. Just work hard!

There's a guy in my son's ROTC company at UNG who is 25 and has prior service including two deployments. He's treated pretty much like everybody else, except he has the option of living off campus if he wanted to. (He bunks with the company though.)
