I searched around for this topic, but could not find any answers, my question is; what are the shaving standards for the male cadets, as in what is an acceptable shave? Is it required to go against the grain to get a perfectly smooth shave each morning or can you just go for a single pass? Either way is fine I was just curious because I understand cadets are pressed for time in the morning and must shave quickly.

Clean shaven: all day, every day.

That is, unless you have a waiver.

Just from observing my son (USAFA cadet) and his friends.....their shaves would not pass inspection in the Army 30 years ago, and unlikely ever pass in the Marines. That said....I'm fairly sure Basics and Doolies want to avoid giving the upperclassmen anything to find fault with. I believe a single pass each AM would suffice.

Good Luck!:thumb:
