I am currently a freshman, about to be sophomore, at Towson University at Towson University. I am currently an Astro-Physics Major and I applied to transfer to University of Maryland for the Fall and if denied will apply for transfer for next Spring. I have been extremely interested in the NROTC program but It is not offered at the school I am currently at. That is half the reason I want to apply to University of Maryland.
Here is the thing. I most likely will be studying a total a 5 years so I still have 4 years ahead of me. Because of this, am I eligible to apply for the 3-year NROTC scholarship this coming year, even though I will technically be a sophomore? BUT,wouldn't I be a freshman in the program being the fact I have 4 more years of study left.
Thank you
