I've been thinking about attending a service academy (WP or Annapolis ) for a while and I'm not really asking what my chances are bc they're a little slim to none but nonetheless I guess I'll tell you guys about myself. I figured I could maybe transfer after a year of 'regular'college. I have a 3.6 gpa unweighted (currently trying to raise it.) 4.1 weighted. I take mostly honors classes except math. I haven't played a sport unless you count bowling. I move around alot and often it's to late for me to join most sports. I've done science Olympiad since sophomore year and I have received some first place medals. I'm in key club and I do volunteer work outside of school. But I don't have nearly enough hours to compete with most of these kids. Next year I'll have all honors classes math included but no ap classes which is probably hurting me. I was thinking I could take some online classes since that's what I'll be doing this summer. I'm also interested in joining track since I've already talked to the coach. I know these stats are pretty poor but I figured I could at least try to work on it. I was wondering what things I could do in order to be able to at least have a shot at being able to transfer? Any feed back would be extremely helpful as I'm a little ignorant to how this process works.
