Sorry VMI82, your situation did suck, but I disagree that I was whining. I am grateful for the money and opportunities I do have, and this thread was to serve as more of a warning to future kids who could be in my situation. I think it has served it's purpose...... But honestly, to scold me for posting about my situation but then to go on and post your own story is a bit of a contradiction, isn't it?
And to say I'm "running my yap" about VMI is simply libel. This forum's purpose is to provide information to others, correct? I'd say I can be a good resource to other kids who are still in high school considering ROTC/VMI because I've walked the path, and know how the process works. If you don't want me to post, that's fine and dandy, but I'm going to continue to do so. I think most others will agree that 99% of what I post is helpful to others and accurate, and I learn from the 1% that is not.
Again, let's stick to the purpose of this thread instead of getting off track making accusations about an 18 year old being a whiner:
Colleges can and will make adjustments to financial aid packages when they learn of other scholarships.
