Host Schools Question regarding 2015 App

So, I (like many of yinz should be doing) have started my application for the 4 year scholarship today that is tentative for Fall 2015. However, as I got to the school selection part, I ran into a bit of a dilemma. I want to list the following three schools on my application: University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon, and PSU (all in PA). Pitt and PSU are both there, but CMU was not... are they just listing the host schools? I would venture to guess that from the looks of it that seem to be the case; does that mean that they initially are only for that school, or rather the program based out of that school, with the scholarship being retroactive to the other schools within the battalion? I ask this because CMU is quite a costly tuition in comparison with the others (which in turn earns it 5 on the top list of Engineering schools, and believe me when I tell you that they are good), and as it stands I am competitive for entrance to any of them. Thanks for the reply!

Carnegie Mellon is listed in the ROTC Scholarship Application Packet as a satellite school of the University of Pittsburgh, the code is 003242.

Since you mentioned Engineering I assume you are looking at an engineering major.

The interesting thing is that Carnegie Mellon is not listed as an accredited engineering school as far as the scholarship is concerned. The school needs to have an E next to the name to be considered accredited.

Here is a link to the application packet, see page 14.

Right, I've seen that packet before; I figured that it was slightly outdated, and regardless I'm talking about the electronic application (Which, mind you, just went live yesterday)(Since I can't seem to post a link, I'm talking about the one on goarmy.com under the four year scholarship sub-section in the high school student section). Thank you though! I'm gonna investigate it some more and possibly talk again with Pitt's PMS to see if I can claim some understanding about this. Anybody else got any thoughts?

Talking to the Battalion Recruiting Officer at Pitt should be your first call. They will be able to tell you how to list the schools on your application to include Carnegie Mellon.

Make your first call to the ROO (Recruiting Officer) don't call the PMS first.

The ROO will know, but I'm betting they don't allocate any of their scholarships to CMU, hence they have taken it off their list. I have four schools in my Battalion, but we don't allocate any of our scholarships to one of them, so it's not a choice on the scholarship application.

And might I mention that if you are looking for engineering schools you might want to check out www.clarkson.edu.
