United States Military Academy-West Point Class of 2018 has reported for duty on, July 2nd, 2014, R-Day.

Congrats!! Is been a long road to get to this point and the next 47 months will be awesome!!

The rain cleared & the sun came out just in time for the parade & oath. A lot of parents happy to see their new cadets at the end of a very long, hot & humid day. It was a day I won't forget. Now to start going through my & other's pictures. :thumb:

The tradition is that is it rains on your R-day parade, you will graduate and go to war. Sounds like they missed it for their parade, lucky them. The last time it rained on a R-day parade was 2000.
 
What a great weekend! The rain cleared just a half hour prior to the oath parade. So excited for his journey. You all have been so helpful throughout this process! Just received a 2 minute call from him this evening. All cadets were given a call tonight. He's so excited and very eager. BTW, for the summer he's in E2.
