Candidate Portal?

I was just curious as to why some peoples candidate portal (2nd kit) was open and why some weren't. Is it due to the fact that West Point is looking at them more than others or is it just how they've randomly sorted through each candidate. Thanks!

My State Coordinator told me that the Second Kit (including DoDMERB, LOR, etc.) will probably open around the beginning of August. Until then, just work on completing the first kit. I'm anxiously awaiting as you are - best of luck to you.
 
I am a State Field Force Coordinator, and I watch as a few SSKs are open. For what ever reason, SLE attendance, minority, recruited athlete, other reasons only known to WP, some SSKs are open early. The end of July or the beginning of August competitive candidates will see their files open. Be patient, not a reflection on your potential. Good luck.

My second step kit has been open for a bit, but then again, I'm a re-applicant, so I don't know how much of a difference that makes. My FFR said they should start opening up mid or late July.
