I received my DoDMERB applicant instructions in the mail the other day, and I read that all examinations should be completed within 6 weeks. However, I'm going to be out of the country for a month, from 24 July to 24 August. The last week of August will be the 6th week, hopefully I can schedule an appointment then. How important is it that examinations be completed within 6 weeks?

Hey Sarah, how much of your file did you have complete, and what region are you in?

I'd contact RC about that.

The most important thing you can do at this point is to schedule your appointments AND annotate those dates in DoDMETS. The earlier, the better.

DoDMERB will be able to see you have a scheduled appointment and know that you are working on it. Your RC will only see that you have been authorized medical until you complete the process. The medical process is completely separate from the RC's control and they have no influence over DoDMERB's timelines.

Answering you question >> It is VERY important that the examinations be completed within 6 weeks.

I've scheduled my appointments for the first day I get back. I called to ask what would happen if I didn't attend my appointments within six weeks, and I was told that my account would be deactivated but that I could reactivate the account "in two seconds" with a phone call to Concorde.
