VMI Cadet Battery

I'm just wondering if anyone has info about the VMI club known as the Cadet Battery. All I know is that they fire cannons during different ceremonies VMI and the surrounding region. Is that it, or what? Do they participate in any actual field artillery training?

DS advised they fire them for SRC at night(supper roll call) and founders day etc.. no formal artillery training.
