I just heard that USAFA will charge for parking at the football games this year. Can someone confirm our deny?

Things are going to be sporty when those that didn't get the memo arrive without cash.

$10 to park in some dirt field and the Steelers aren't takin' the field?

Getting a little high-flalutin' for the Mountain West Conference.

I don't think it a profit-thing as much as a funding support-thing in these times. At least I'd hope as much as I'll be one paying it also, albeit gladly to see my DS in the Cadet Section with his new friends living it up.

Ah yes, the Air Force suffers from funding support issues....

Honestly though, if you aren't carrying cash when attending a sporting event, my friend Darwin wants to talk to you.

When I posted earlier -- I missed the following info at the bottom of the news article. Cash may not be a necessity if you purchase a season parking pass in advance --

The fee will be cash only on game day, however fans can purchase a season parking pass in advance for $30, averaging $5 per game.

For more information, or to purchase the advance season pass, visit the Athletics Ticket Office, or call 472-1895.

I spoke at length with the manager at the Falcon ticket office. The season parking pass is only available for those that are season ticket holders.

In the past carrying cash was not really an issue as most items purchased at the game could be paid for with a debit/credit card.
