Since Falcongirl and I have both been accepted I figured we could start a list for those accepted and when they will attend. Maybe more people can find this forum interested in 2014!

Session A June 3-7

Session B June 9-13

Session C June 16-20

Interesting that it looks like they are offering three sessions. It was only 2 sessions last year with about 350 in each session.

Yes, I hear this is the first year for 3 sessions. I think it's 300 people a session roughly, but someone could correct me on this?

i don't know how many will be each session, but the two sessions in previous years have made the program very competitive. I've people say that it's harder for certain people to get into summer seminar than the actual Academy.

I guess it's because less people get in, but just like the website says it doesn't matter if you don't because it's not an automatic in and certainly doesn't make you non-competitive.

I'll add my son on the session C list and have him create a signon for this forum. I see some of the same names from cc. Congrats to all!

Congrats! I'm glad to see someone else in 3rd session. I'm getting so anxiohs, I can't wait till June!

Gah, I was typing on a touch screen cell phone, gimme a break lol. And it was one letter off, not too bad.

Congrats to everyone. This forum is starting to buzz with possible 2014's.

Hi
I'm new to these forums. Just letting you know that I was accepted to the Seminar as well and will most likely be attending the 3rd Session. I say "most likely" because I was also accepted to the West Point SLS this year, and although the dates do not overlap, it might be financially difficult. Also, my school year does not end before either seminars start, so it could present a problem.

Anyway, hello again, and hope to see you all there!

Chockstock my school year ends late also, but I have already started talking with my principal and he has assured me I could just do all of my finals beforehand and head out for the seminars (I am attending all 3 hopefully). I would have to assume that most schools are similar and that as long as you give a big enough notice you would be fine with missing a little bit of school

my school has been great as well! I am taking my finals before hand as I will be missing the last week of school to go to West Point SLS. I HOPE to go to all three too! West Point (accepted) to Annapolis (eagerly awaiting the online app to open) to Air Force (accepted).

i hope your school will be accomodating! i'd love to meet you there : )

I can't speak for West Point SLS, but I attended USAFA SS and had a blast last year. It was interesting, fun, and challenging (though only for the last day). I met a lot of great people. I recommend USAFA SS.

Thanks for the congratulations guys! Hope to see you all there this June as well!

Pdub, I'm willing to attend both USAFA and USMA seminars and possibly even NASS as well if everything works out well. I believe I will enjoy all three equally and learn just as much one way or the other. But my goal is to attend all three (or two).

I'm sure my school will figure something out for me. The truth is, of the 4 classes I am taking this semester, 3 are APs. I don't know about your schools, but after you take the AP test for classes, the last week or two of school becomes a blow off because there is nothing more to learn in the course after the test. Now that I think of it, I think was worrying too much:biggrin:

See you all there!
