This is a bigger problem than the Academy is saying!. Last week at CVW a parent asked and the admissions office and kids dismissed the idea. Guess they were not allowed to talk about it.

check out Capital Gazette for a story about the problem.

They told us at the CVW that it was a few rooms, and they were believed to have been brought in during one of the prior CVWs.

I'm sure they will handle it.

Its honestly not as bad as the article or even other mids are making it out to be. When you look at it, its only a couple of rooms, but the worrying thing is that those rooms are spread across all 8 wings.

There is a lot of skepticism going around of how they're determining which rooms have bedbugs.

As a parent of a mid I'm not thrilled about BB invading Mother B, but I'm sure everything that can be done is being done. Do some research BB are invading many college dorms, hotels, and other assorted public places. I trust in the leadership at USNA to know how to handle this, and to deal with it appropriately. Besides the "rumor" circulating was that if they didn't get them under control mids would get a fall break at home. I miss my mid very much and an early trip home would be great! :thumb:

The reason the bed bugs are spread so widely throughout Bancroft is that bed bugs were found in a football locker room, and the football players unintentionally spread it to their rooms and the rooms around theirs.
As far as I've heard the administration is ahead of the game on all this, but word of mouth around the brigade can blow anything out of proportion rapidly. And the rumors of going home are definitely only the hopes of midshipmen.
