Talk to a live person

My DD has several questions that are specific and not addressed on the FAQ page of admissions. She has tried every phone number listed for admissions; her admissions officers are out of the office until after the EA deadline has passed (10-15). She has not had a response to the voicemail she left. I have also tried every number listed & can't get a live admissions person. Any ideas ?
Thanks

Try posting her questions here. There is a HUGE amount of knowledge and experience here, from those who recently applied to those who have graduated and have been around the forums a long time. Someone is bound to be able to help her out.

I think your daughter just posted the question, but here's a little trick I learned as a PAO in the Coast Guard, while trying to coordinate with other services.

With listed phone numbers you'll recognize a pattern....

General Line: 860-555-1120
Person 1: 860-555-1122
Person 2: 860-555-1123
Person 3: 860-555-1124
Person 4: 860-555-1125
Person 5: 860-555-1127

Those numbers are related and listed. The general number is likely a receptionist. The others are, in this case, admissions officers. I'd look at the listing, and after getting no responses from those numbers, try the numbers missing that aren't listed.... maybe 1121 or 1126.... of bookend it, try 1119 or 1128.

The other thing you can try is calling a known number, maybe the cadet watch office, and asking for the direct number for a specific person. Direct numbers aren't protected in the federal government.... all you have to do is know who you're looking for and ask.

Now let's say you get one person who doesn't work on your application package, but you can't get anyone else. You can call that person back, explain the time crunch and the issue and often the person can "walk it" to the correct desk.

That is a great idea & I will pass it on to her !!!

As far as posting the questions here - they are specific to her package.
Why are my fitness scores not loaded from AIM & how do I get them loaded?
Why are my ACT & SAT scores not loaded even though they were sent directly

It's hard to answer these questions without the applicant's name, but instructions for requesting AIM PFE results be added to a record (instead of retaking the PFE) are included in the "My Recommendations" section of the application. There could be a few different reasons why ACT/SAT scores received directly from ACT/College Board have not been added to an applicant's record yet...you're welcome to send me a pm.

EA

The instructions on the portal say:

Your online application, personal statements, and all required supplemental material must be submitted by October 15, 2014 for your record to be reviewed under Early Action. Early Action applicants will receive their admission decision by December 24, 2014.

The question I have is whether SAT scores, PFE and "official" transcript are required supplemental information for the EA deadline?

When you upload the application, it says that the "official" transcript will be required if an offer is made. You just need to upload a copy of one and current coursework in order to be able to submit your application.

Got a call back

Thanks for the suggestions, my DD did get a callback yesterday around 5ish. The admissions officer she spoke with was wonderful and answered all her questions.

The bottom line was that here scores will not get posted until she has an application on file. He suggested she go ahead and submit the application and then come back and check in a few days to make sure her SAT / ACT scores and her fitness get uploaded once the application is complete on her side.

Now its all about the waiting game.

One set of official ACT (with Writing Test) or SAT scores and the PFE are required, but the self-reported/unofficial transcript is sufficient for completing your application.
