Most would agree that it is very beneficial to conduct interviews because often what looks good on paper doesn't always match up with the person. I've known candidates that blew most out of the water. They went into the interview and it didn't take the panel too long to figure out this kid wasn't Academy material. As to why some MOCs don't hold interviews...I don't know. I don't want to say it's out of laziness or lack of interest(not saying it isn't) but I'm sure they have their reasons. Maybe they don't feel it's necessary or don't have the time or maybe don't have the manpower or something along those lines.
