hi hi everyone my name is Jay Park and I'm from Greenwood Village Colorado. I have always wanted to go to West Point ever since I was six years old. I am a ninth-grader currently going to Cherry Creek high school. Any advice helps thanks

Welcome. Good thing you're starting to think about college early in your life.

Advice? :: You'll change a bunch in high school, just keep your sights set on West Point -- this means good grades, great sports, and outstanding leadership. Always give 123% -- It may not seem like it now -- but trust me (as a senior having gone through what you are now) -- It will all pay off in the end.

Welcome! Check out the "stickies" at the top of the USMA forum page for lots of helpful information.

You make me very uneasy giving out so much personal information on a public forum. Contact one of the Mods and ask for assistance editting out your name and hometown.

I've got a question: do I need straight A's for West Point?

Grades are important but plenty of cadets don't have straight A's. But they gotta be pretty good! They look more holistically at your record including class rank, leadership, EC's and your ACT/SAT scores.

Again like Dixie said, read the sticky notes and check this link out. It describes the class profile of West Point.

Thank you! This makes me feel better, since I excel in most everything else but are not as good in terms of grades. I am above average for sure, but in some subjects I suffer.
