I injured my shoulder and knee last week while playing rugby (on the same play). The trainer said that I probably tore my labrum and MCL. I'm getting both injures looked at by an orthopedic next week. I was medical qualified through DODMERB back in September. What's next if something is torn?

I understand your concern and its good your asking this question. I don't remember the specifics but I think you are supposed to notify DODMERB of any injuries and provide documentation of treatment as requested.

I don't know for sure so I hope someone with firsthand knowledge can share their experience. You can't be the first (and won't be the last) to suffer something like this.

Best of luck!

After meeting with docs, depending on their diagnosis, you will need to report it to DoDMERB. Anytime your medical status changes you are required to inform them. Make sure you have all of the documentation from the docs., including the MRI and xrays.
