My son's battalion did not receive their December 1st stipend. Their HR person thought perhaps it would be added to the December 15th, but my son looked at his bank account and only the December 15th stipend is pending. His HR person has no idea what happened. Did the stipend get caught up in the CULP fiasco or the potential government shutdown? Just wondering if anyone has some inside information.

DS received his as normal on 1st and 15th
DS did not do CULP

DS received CULP overpayment and stipend 12/1, then it was taken back on the same day. Just got the CULP payment and stipend today, still no word about stipend from 12/1. CULP payment today was about 1/3 of the original which was an overpayment.

DS did CULP last year. 12/1 stipend was lumped in with CULP overpayment and taken back and so far no 12/15 payment.

I had a letter that was sent out from the USACC G-8, but I can't find it now. If I do, I'll post it here.

Essentially it said they had to retract the entire pay from that period and resend it to DFAS which caused a mess up with 1 DEC stipends.

So this is interesting...I wonder if my DS received the same letter and being the detailed oriented individual that he is, either failed to read it, or just chose not to share it's contents with his DF.

It's December 15th. Semester is over. Kids are home. Neither has received his fall scholarship money. Merry Christmas -- where's the Tylenol?

My son was in the same boat....did CULP over the Summer and was overpaid on 12/01 which apparently included his 12/01 stipend. The Army tok it ALL back a day or two later. He was paid $850 fro CULP today and also received his 12/15 stipend but still was shorted the 12/01 stipend. Of course, he didn't share that with me, I had to call him after reading post from nofodad!!

At least my son listened to me and spend the money on necessities the second it hit his account. Now there's no money for the Army to take back
