Nomination Upload

I received word of my principal nomination via phone call from my congresswomen on December 1st. On December 8th, I received the official nomination letter (dated December 5th), it said that all her nominations have been forwarded to the academies. My nomination status has not been updated in my portal at all, it still says "none". I know it can take a while, but I have never had any of my documents take longer than two weeks to show up in my portal. I understand I must stay patient, but at what point should I be concerned? Can the holidays impact the processing time? Are nominations forwarded electronically or snail mail? How long did it take for anyone that received a nomination to show up in their portals? Thanks!

Also, will my nomination status explicitly state "principal nomination" or will they just know that I am my MOCS principal nominee and it won't be stated in my portal? Just wondering. Thanks again.

It does take time to upload things. Remember, there are 10 counselors for all 5 regions...those 5 regions cover the literal globe. So it can be a bit time consuming.

Worry not! If your MOC said "THIS is my Principal nominee" then that is that! Congratulations! Eventually your portal will say something like this:

Nomination Status

Status:
Received
Nominator:
Honorable Matt XXXXXXXXXXXXX

And that'll be that!

Enjoy your holiday and keep running, doing pullups/pushups/crunches!
(and then in January there's that pesky school thing...)

My DS received his nomination on the 12th of December and the nomination was on the air force portal on the 13th. I would check with MOC office just to make sure everything is on track.

Yeah, I keep hearing different time frames. Thanks, I will check with my MOC office after the holiday season, there really is no rush. What district and state are you in, if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you, and that's a great point about the 10 counselors covering the globe. I'm sure that my region has an overwhelming amount of nominations coming in at this time of year, essentially nomination season. I guess I shouldn't be too stressed but I just like to be completely aware of what exactly is going on. Thanks again.

Will two nominations be listed in the portal if I received two? Or will it just list the first one?
